Do you have guest WIFI?  We do not provide guest WIFI. Each cottage is connected to WIFI to stream subscription services only. Please consider your stay unplugged! 

At some point, I will need to log on to my work. How is the reception in your area?  Reception is strong and reliable if you need to connect to your mobile data. 

Do you allow pets of any kind? Apart from a registered, special needs companion, we accept no other animals.

My fiancée and I would love to get married on your property, is this possible?  Sorry, we do not host events.  

We are getting married at the local hall. Can I please book one cottage and check-in at 8am to prepare. It will be me, my mum and two bridesmaids and we'll be bringing three vehicles. Sadly, we can not accommodate your request, as we have found that this arrangement impacts other guests and their enjoyment. Please review our Celebratory Stay Packages and get in touch if you have any questions.

Is there a place to store my luggage before or after my stay?  No

Is the cottage equipped with a washing machine and dryer? No. You can find a 24/7 laundromat in the village.  

Is it possible to check-in early? You will be notified by SMS if your accommodation is ready early.

Do you provide a porta-cot and highchair? Yes. Please request this in your booking.

Do taxis or ubers frequent your area? Yes. Pre-booking your taxi is recommended.

Do you offer an airport transfer? No. Your best options are ride share or taxi from the airport. Travel time is approx. 55 minutes. Alternatively, from the domestic/international airport, guests can take the Airport Train to Central Station (Brisbane CBD) and then catch the train to Ferny Grove Station. From FGS, it is a 15-minute taxi ride. You can book a taxi at the station.  

Where is the nearest train station? Ferny Grove Station is the closest train station and is approximately 15 minutes away.

Do you have a café on-site? No

Do you provide a cooked breakfast? We do not provide a cooked breakfast however, guests can upgrade to a hot breakfast package when completing their booking.

Do you cater to special dietary requirements? Yes

It is my partner’s birthday, can you help with organising a bottle of wine, a cake and a bunch of flowers? Yes, we would be happy to assist.  

What takeaways deliver to your property? Domino's Pizza delivers to our property.

Can I invite visitors? No. Only paying registered guests are permitted on the property. The property has CCTV surveillance and additional visitors will be asked to leave. This is private family home, and all paying guests are required to respect this.

My friend lives just around the corner, can they pop in to say hello? No, please refer above.

We are five adults and would really love to book a stay. We're happy to squeeze into the one cottage. Is this possible? Sorry, we do not accommodate additional guests. 

Can I use my drone on your property? We do not permit the usage of drones on our property.

Where is the closest shop for groceries? Drakes located at Samford Central (Cnr Main Street and Kath Fitzgerald Drive, Samford Village) is the best place for groceries. Also within Samford Central you will find, a fresh fruit and vege grocer, butcher, patisserie, bakery, pharmacy and two bottle shops.  

When are the markets on? Every 2nd Saturday of the month is the local market. We also have Reko Samford market every Saturday morning. Further details are included in your Welcome notes. 

We are a group of friends coming to stay. We live in Brisbane and our friends, on the Sunshine Coast. We will be bringing two cars. Is there somewhere where we can park the second vehicle? Please get in touch with us prior and we will assist with your query.

We are thinking of booking a table at Oceanview Winery, do you offer a drop-off/pick-up service? We do not provide a transfer service. Your best option is to pre-book a taxi for your return trip. 

Can we pat the alpacas?  No, the alpacas are not hand raised so they will not stand patiently

Hey, we’re only here overnight, when can we see the alpacas? The alpacas roam our property most days. They love to graze and relax on the knoll each morning. They especially love to rest underneath the Treetop Cottage. As with most rural and semi-rural properties, our boundaries are not fenced, which means, sometimes, the alpacas will visit the neighbours, two or three doors down and spend time keeping their grass down!  We can say that this is a rare event and 98% of the time, they are chilling on the knoll.    

We are checking-in after 5pm today, will that be a problem? Not at all. There is a key safe which you can access 24/7. We can even help by leaving some lights on or even stoking your fireplace if it's a chilly day.

I am considering booking your cottage for one night. Rather than waste half a day on both days, can I just check-in at 9am and check-out at 9am the next day? This is not possible.

I have just booked the Escape couple’s cottage. It’s my partner’s birthday and I’d like to invite his family to dinner. In total there will be eight of us. They will be quiet and leave before 930pm. Is this okay? Sorry, no. We suggest you celebrate with your family at Samford Village.

Where is the closest late-night pharmacy? Terry White Pharmacy, Great Western Centre, Keperra, closes at 11pm. A 20-minute drive.

Will I see wildlife during my stay? Our property is 95+ acres and surrounded by extensive rural countryside that sustains many wildlife species so there is always a high chance of spotting wildlife - day and night. We have resident kookaburras, cockatoos, koalas, wallabies, kangaroos, bandicoots, goannas, echidnas and frogs. As well as a large variety of birdlife such as whip birds, bell birds, king parrots, pale face parrots, pheasants, sulphur-crested cockatoos, black yellow tail cockatoos, finches, honeyeaters, lorikeets, magpies, and lastly, if the conditions are perfect, fireflies. We remind our guests to never approach a wild animal as they are unpredictable.
