Booking Policy

Guests understand and acknowledge that Altura Vista is a private rural residence, that is shared with other residents, animals and wildlife.

By completing a booking, guests will have acknowledged that they have read and agreed to the terms and conditions listed within this policy. 

​

BOOKING POLICY

1. RENTAL TERMS

 

Altura Vista is a non-smoking property.

​

Pets are not permitted on the property with the exception of a certified special needs companion.

​

No parties, gatherings or events are permitted.

​

Noise is to be kept to a minimum after 9.30pm.

​

Visitors - Altura Vista is a private property. No visitors are to be invited on to the property by any guest, day or night.

​

Parking – Each cottage has a single parking bay. We do not accommodate trailers. Any unauthorised vehicles will be towed away at the owner’s expense.

​

Cleanliness - Guests are required to leave their accommodation in a tidy state to avoid additional cleaning fees. All food is to be removed from the refrigerator/freezer. All rubbish is to be placed in the bins conveniently located in the carpark. Please place all dishes in the dishwasher or hand wash.

​

Belongings – All belongings must be removed from the cottage on check-out. Altura Vista does not store or retain private belongings for collection.

​

Use of BBQ - BBQ is to be cleaned after each use and the area left clean and tidy.   

​

Spa – The spa cover is to be replaced after each use to maintain heat and save power. Should the spa require extra cleaning and/or maintenance, the total fee incurred will be charged to the credit card holder.

​

Fire Pit – The outdoor fire pit can be used when there are favourable weather conditions. Guests will receive a text notification from the owners if the use of the fire pit is not permitted during their stay.

​

Keys – Keys should be returned to the lockbox. Failure to do so will incur a $20 replacement fee.

​

Security Deposit – Please refer to point 4 below.

​

Covid19 - Guests are required to use the QR code to check-in on arrival.

​

Alpacas & Wildlife Welfare – No guest is to cause any harm or stress to any animal or wildlife whilst on the property. The alpacas are not hand raised and as such will move away if approached.

​

 

Whilst the owners are happy to share their property with guests, the property is first and foremost a family home that is shared with their pets, animals, extended family and friends.  Please respect the above terms, their privacy, neighbours and the wildlife community.

2. BOOKING & PAYMENT TERMS

 

Check-in: 2pm | Check-out 10am

 

Maximum occupants – Luxe Escape Cottage (#1): 2

Maximum occupants – Treetop Cottage (#2): 4 (5 including infant)

 

The primary person on the booking form is the sole contact and is responsible for the property booking and all communications with Altura Vista.

 

The primary contact agrees that each guest will complete the Covid19 complaint check-in process via the QR code provided by Management.

 

Guests must vacate the property by the stipulated check-out time to avoid being charged a late check-out fee.

​

Included in the room rate is a non-refundable $35 administration fee.

​

Due to unforeseen circumstances or in the event of an emergency, Altura Vista may need to cancel the booking/s. In this event, the guest will be compensated for the unused portion of their stay.

  • Credit/Debit Card Payment (Mastercard | Visa)

  • Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)

 

Online Bookings - Payment is to be completed at the time of the booking for the booking to be confirmed.

​

Booking Enquiries - Payment link will be sent to the guest and payment must be received within 24 hours to confirm booking.

​

No payments will not be taken over the phone.

​

No dates will be held without payment.

​

3. SECURITY DEPOSIT

​

No security deposit is payable upon booking however the guest/s acknowledges and agrees that they will be liable, and a charge incurred against the primary credit card holder should any of the following occur:

​

  • Any loss, damage or breakages that occurs because of the guest’s misuse of the property including professional cleaning for excess stain removal from bed/bath linen, curtains/blinds or floor coverings. Removal of smoke damage, additional spa maintenance due to foreign matter or misuse and damage to décor, fixtures and fittings, internal or otherwise.
     

The guest agrees that Altura Vista has the right to claim compensation. Communication will be sent to the primary contact prior to any charge being raised against their credit card. Claims can occur up to fourteen days from check-out. The claim amount will be fair and reasonable reliant upon submitted quote/s to rectify the damage.

4. PRE/POST-WEDDING ACCOMMODATION BOOKING

 

Terms are as published on the website.

5. EXTREME WEATHER CONDITIONS

​

The region is indicative of regular fire bans during long spells of dry weather and other severe weather events.

 

For the safety and wellbeing of guests, Management, contractors and staff, Altura Vista has the right to:

 

- Not accept bookings during periods deemed as severe, extreme or catastrophic.

- Cancel any upcoming or existing booking/s (credit/s to be processed accordingly).

 

Altura Vista does not operate during extreme or catastrophic weather events and reserves the right to change/postpone/cancel a booking, future or otherwise, to protect the wellbeing of the guest/s. Compensation will be offered to those impacted by this decision.

 

Weather conditions change constantly. All guests agree to act upon any directive given by the owners/staff, rural fire brigade, police or government authority. Guests residing at Altura Vista agree to adhere to any current fire ban or issued during their stay.

 

6. LOSS & DAMAGE

​

Altura Vista maintains a high standard and level of care. We do understand that accidents/mishaps happen. In this event, guests should notify management immediately via email/text of any breakages /damage.

 

Should the damage be due to intentional, negligent or malicious behaviour, Altura Vista reserves the right to cancel the booking, with no refund issued for any unused part of the stay and furthermore, charge the full cost for repair/replacement, including any call-out fee, to the primary cardholder. Refer to Security Deposit above.

 

Altura Vista is not responsible for any personal items/belongings left in the accommodation. As a health and safety precaution, all items will be disposed of. No items will be stored on the owner’s behalf. Guests remain responsible for the security of their belongings. Sporting equipment such as scooters, skateboards, bicycles, can be stored either underneath the cottage or in your vehicle. No sporting equipment is to be stored in the accommodation. Guests are to secure their vehicles and accommodation when not attended.

Altura Vista is an expansive, semi-rural property with potential hazards such as local wildlife, flora, weather and terrain. Every reasonable effort has been made to ensure the wellbeing and safety of our guests. We remind all guests to always to act responsibly. Guests indemnify the owners against any accident or damage (to property) whilst on the premises.

7. COVID-19

 

Guests who feel unwell, and/or are classified as a close/casual contact, and/or have contracted Covid19 should contact Management immediately to discuss their options. Please refer to our Covid19 Cancellation and Refund Policy.

8. CCTV

​

Access to the property is monitored by CCTV 24/7. 

​

 

Altura Vista reserves the right to terminate any booking, with no compensation for any unused portion of stay, and request the guest/s to immediately vacate the property should the guest/s be in breach of the any terms and conditions as stated above.
